By installing or using Dharmica, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Dharmica. If you are using it on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
Creating a Dharmica account (see §4) or starting a paid subscription (see §5) constitutes further acceptance of these Terms.
Dharmica is a guidance app grounded in the Bhagavad Gita. You bring a question — in text or voice — and the app surfaces a verse reference from the bundled corpus and composes a four-section reflection: acknowledgment, teaching, practice, and a sentence to carry forward.
The Sanskrit shlokas are never generated. The model is given candidate verses and returns a verse reference; the app renders the shloka from its own bundled, public-domain corpus. Fabricated scripture is structurally impossible.
The app supports English and Hindi responses, with Romanised IAST transliteration for Sanskrit terms and Devanagari script for shlokas.
The app is offered in two tiers — free and premium — described in §5.
dharmica.trivartha.com/knowledge-centre/. Interactive entries run their JavaScript inside an in-app webview. You can run guidance in three modes:
An account is optional. The app works without sign-in; only features that need continuity across reinstalls or devices (history, bookmarks, trial) require one.
When you create an account you sign in through Firebase Authentication, using either:
You are responsible for the security of your account credentials. Do not share them. Notify us at support@trivartha.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
You can sign out from Settings → Account → Sign out. Signing out does not delete your account or your history; it leaves them in place and returns the device to anonymous mode. The full deletion flow is on the Account Deletion page.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service (see §16).
The premium tier is sold through Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS) and is administered by RevenueCat. Dharmica never holds a payment instrument. The subscription contract is between you and the store, with RevenueCat as the entitlement processor. Their terms, pricing, and acceptable-use policies apply.
Free tier. Anonymous users (no sign-in) and signed-in users after the trial or subscription has lapsed can still use every feature of the app. The guidance source picker is restricted to Your key and On device; the Cloud path requires an active trial or subscription.
7-day trial. The first time you sign in on a fresh device, Dharmica starts a 7-day trial of the premium tier automatically — no charge during the trial, no card required up front (the store will still hold a payment method for renewals). The trial is tied to your Firebase uid, so signing in on another device carries the trial with you. The trial converts to the paid plan at the end of the period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Pricing and renewals. Current prices are shown in the app at Settings → Subscription. They are listed in your store's local currency and may include local taxes. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.
Cancelling. Cancel from your store's subscription settings (Google Play Subscriptions / Apple Subscriptions) at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancelling stops the next renewal but keeps access until the end of the paid period. The Dharmica app does not see the cancellation immediately; it learns of it on the next entitlement sync.
Refunds. Refund requests are handled by your store under its refund policy. Dharmica cannot issue refunds directly. If a charge is unexpected, contact Google Play or Apple Support first.
Trial / subscription on a new sign-in. The trial is tied to your uid, not to your device. If you sign in on a device that already has an active subscription or trial under a different uid, your subscription follows your account, not your device.
Deleting your account ends the trial or subscription immediately on our side, but does not automatically cancel a paid subscription at the store. To prevent further charges, cancel from your store's subscription settings before deleting your Dharmica account (see Account Deletion).
You agree to use Dharmica lawfully and considerately. In particular, you will not:
If you add an API key under Settings → Your AI keys, you are contracting with that provider for the use of their model. Their terms, pricing, and acceptable-use policies apply to what you send them.
Your key is stored on your device in shared preferences (not in a hardware-backed keystore). Dharmica forwards it on each request only for the duration of that request; the server does not log or retain it. You can remove a key at any time from the same screen. For your own protection, we recommend rotating any BYOK key at your provider if your device has been compromised.
You are responsible for the security of your own key. Do not share it.
You may download open-weight AI models (Gemma, Qwen, Phi, Llama, and others) from their respective publishers' HuggingFace repositories for fully offline guidance. The app's catalog lists the models it knows how to run and the licences under which they are distributed.
By downloading a model you accept its publisher's licence (e.g. the Gemma terms of use, the Llama community licence). Dharmica does not republish the weights; it streams them directly from huggingface.co. Model files can be large (hundreds of MB to several GB) and count against your device's storage. You can remove a model from the same screen you downloaded it.
Every shipped text is in the public domain:
github.com/gita/gita (Unlicense).Editorial commentary under the editorial source key is original to Dharmica and released under CC0. Where commentary is drawn from Tilak (1915), Thibaut (1904), or Sastri (1897), those works are public domain globally.
Knowledge Centre entries are served from our origin. Interactive entries may contain JavaScript; do not enter personal data into one unless you trust its source.
Dharmica deliberately does not bundle translations that remain under copyright (Prabhupada / BBT, Gita Press, Advaita Ashrama). The widely-used open Gita datasets that do bundle them are GPL-3.0 and are not used.
The Dharmica brand, app code, design system, editorial commentary, and the Janm Kundali engine are © Trivartha, except where released under an open licence as noted. The bundled corpus and its translations are in the public domain.
Your questions and your reflections belong to you. By using the app you grant us a limited licence to transmit your question to the chosen model provider for the sole purpose of generating your answer, and — when the cloud path is used and caching is enabled — to retain a normalised copy of the question and the answer in our semantic cache so that similar future questions can be answered instantly. Cache entries are not tied to your account or install id and not used for model training. BYOK requests are excluded from the cache.
You retain all rights to feedback you send us. We may use anonymous, aggregated service metrics (counts, not content) to improve the product.
The app runs a safety gate before any model call. Questions expressing suicidal ideation, intent to harm others, or abuse disclosures receive a fixed, human-written response with local helpline numbers — the model is not invoked, and the question is not persisted. Idiomatic uses of crisis vocabulary (e.g. "this job is killing me") are recognised and not treated as crises.
This gate is a safety net, not a replacement for human help. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact a professional. Indian national services currently referenced in the app include Tele-MANAS (14416), KIRAN (1800-599-0019), AASRA (+91-9820466726), and the Vandrevala Foundation (1860-266-2345). Service availability changes; please verify locally.
We may update, pause, or discontinue the cloud guidance service, change pricing, or modify features with reasonable notice where possible. The on-device path is yours forever — the bundled corpus and the offline models you install keep working without us.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dharmica is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular verse will be the right one for your situation. Reliance on guidance produced by the app, including the Janm Kundali chart, is at your own risk.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which is typically zero for the cloud path, and not applicable to the BYOK or on-device paths).
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree to indemnify Trivartha against any third-party claim arising from your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights (including the terms of a BYOK provider, the licence of an on-device model you have chosen to download, or the terms of Google Play / Apple App Store / RevenueCat / Firebase).
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling removes all on-device data. Anonymous quota counters and cache entries persist server-side until natural expiry or your manual deletion request.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete account. This revokes the Firebase account, ends any trial or subscription on our side, logs out of RevenueCat, wipes all on-device data, and rotates the install id. See Account Deletion for the full flow.
We may suspend or terminate access to the cloud service for users who abuse it, after notice where practicable.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Vadodara, Gujarat, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
